Ingredients:

For seasoned pita chips:

  • 3 pitas (or any kind of flatbread)
  • 2 TBL extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 TBL za’atar seasoning OR 2 tsp Sumac seasoning & 1 tsp salt

For unseasoned pita chips:

  • 3 pitas (or any kind of flatbread)
  • Vegetable oil pan spray
  • 1 TBL seasoning of your choice

Instructions:

For seasoned pita chips:

  1. Preheat oven to 275F degrees
  2. Slice the flatbread into the desired shape – wedges or squares. If the flatbread is fluffy or hollow, half it to reduce height
  3. Lay the flatbread pieces on a clean sheet pan
  4. Using a brush, coat one side of the flatbread pieces lightly with the olive oil
  5. Sprinkle the za’atar or the Sumac & salt over the olive oil, evenly coating the chips
  6. Place in the oven and set a timer for 30 minutes. Once the timer goes off, remove from oven and allow them to cool for approximately 30 minutes before covering and storing
  7. They can be stored at room temperature or enjoyed immediately!
